FORMER WASHINGTON COUNTY STUDENTS BORN IN 1989
The Department of Special Services currently holds a record on former students who were evaluated to receive Special Education services, received Special Education services including Gifted Education, and Section 504 accommodations while attending Washington County schools. Records are maintained for five (5) years past the estimated date of graduation. It is our policy to destroy this information after the five (5) year period.
THIS ANNOUNCEMENT SERVES AS NOTIFICATION THAT THE RECORDS OF STUDENTS BORN IN 1989 WILL BE DESTROYED JULY 2, 2012, IF NOT RETRIEVED BY THE STUDENT. Files may be picked up by former students, beginning Monday, June 25, 2012, until Friday, June 29, 2012, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
The information will be destroyed if it is not retrieved during the scheduled time. Records cannot be released to anyone except the student. Former students who prefer to have their records picked up by a relative MUST have a Release Form notarized and delivered to the Special Education Department. Records will not be released without appropriate authorization.
