E-VERIFY COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ALABAMA IMMIRGATION LAW Washington County Board of Education is required to comply with the provision of the new Alabama Immigration Law. Compliance requirements for boards of education in Alabama became effective, January 1, 2012. The requirements flow down to all contractors, vendors, and grantees doing business with the Board and employing one or more employees in Alabama.
Washington County Board of Education does not knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien. The Board is enrolled in the E-Verify program. Attached is a copy of the Board’s W-9, E-Verify Affidavit and Memorandum of Understanding confirming such program enrollment.
Attached is an E-Verify Vendor Packet that must be completed, signed, notarized and returned to the Washington County Board of Education as a condition for doing business with the Board.
